Is there a platform fee or subscription cost?

No. Cavela doesn't charge a platform fee, software fee, or subscription. You pay for production — the same way you'd pay any factory — and our coordination is built into the unit cost, not added on top.

Am I paying factory prices or marked-up prices?

One all-in production price — no separate added fees. What you see is what you get, the same as working with any factory directly.

What's the difference between a production cost and a landed cost?

Your production cost is the factory price: materials, labour, and manufacturing. Your landed DDP cost adds freight, customs clearance, and duties — everything it takes to get finished goods to your warehouse. We show you both upfront, before you commit to anything.

How are freight and duties handled?

Freight, customs, duties, and clearance are all coordinated by us. We quote both your production cost and your full landed DDP cost — so you're approving a real delivered number before committing. Sea and air options are outlined so you can weigh cost against lead time.

How does payment work? Is there a deposit?

Most orders require a deposit upfront with the balance due before shipment. Terms vary by product, factory, and order history. For brands with an established track record, other arrangements can be discussed. We also work with financing partners if payment flexibility is a consideration.

How does Cavela make money if there's no separate fee?

A factory's quote already includes the cost of their own coordination team — the project managers and admin staff who run your order. We have the factory focus on production and replace that layer with our own, leaner operation. The saving from removing their admin cost covers ours, which is why brands typically pay the same or less than going factory-direct, not more.

What's included in a production quote?

Your production quote covers the manufactured product, onsite quality inspections at multiple production stages, and coordination through to shipment. Samples and iteration rounds are priced separately.

How does sample pricing work?

Samples are priced separately from production and billed before any sample is made. Each revision round is also a separate cost. Sample fees are typically credited toward your bulk order upon placement.

What are the minimum order quantities?

MOQs vary by factory and product type, typically ranging from 500–2,000 units. Because of our existing factory relationships, we can often negotiate lower entry quantities for first orders than a brand approaching a factory cold.
