On April 2, 2025, President Donald Trump announced a comprehensive tariff policy, referred to as the "Liberation Day" tariffs.

Here’s what’s happening:

The two-tiered tariff structure

  1. Baseline Tariff: A universal 10% tariff on all imported goods, effective April 5, 2025.

  2. Country-Specific Tariffs: Higher tariffs targeting specific countries, effective April 9, 2025.

    • China: An additional 34% tariff on top of an existing 20% tariff, resulting in a total of 54%.

    • Vietnam: 46% tariff

    • Taiwan: 32% tariff

    • European Union (EU): 20% tariff

    • Japan: 24% tariff

    • South Korea: 25% tariff

Here is our plan to mitigate the new tariffs policy:

  • Conduct daily price discussions with your existing suppliers to provide you with  the latest pricing updates

  • Collaborate with suppliers and freight forwarders on pricing optimization strategies to mitigate immediate tariff impacts

  • Once market conditions stabilize, identify qualified alternative suppliers
