On April 2, 2025, President Donald Trump announced a comprehensive tariff policy, referred to as the "Liberation Day" tariffs.
Here’s what’s happening:
The two-tiered tariff structure
Baseline Tariff: A universal 10% tariff on all imported goods, effective April 5, 2025.
Country-Specific Tariffs: Higher tariffs targeting specific countries, effective April 9, 2025.
China: An additional 34% tariff on top of an existing 20% tariff, resulting in a total of 54%.
Vietnam: 46% tariff
Taiwan: 32% tariff
European Union (EU): 20% tariff
Japan: 24% tariff
South Korea: 25% tariff
Here is our plan to mitigate the new tariffs policy:
Conduct daily price discussions with your existing suppliers to provide you with the latest pricing updates
Collaborate with suppliers and freight forwarders on pricing optimization strategies to mitigate immediate tariff impacts
